✨ Pregnancy Journal: Week 4 ✨
We started 2 weeks straight of family travel around the 4th of July. First we spent 5 nights in East Texas on the lake with my in-laws. It was so peaceful and calming, with no alcohol at all which turned out to be a blessing. We spent a lot of time peacefully staring at the lake and getting the family comfortable with the idea of adoption, the cost and the timeline. My in-laws were so supportive and we had great conversations about the early years of having a child. Not every family is accepting of adoption, but we were so happy that they embraced it so easily! That Saturday we drove back to Austin, to unpack and pack to head to Maine the next day to head to my family. Looking back, always easier to connect dots after the fact, but I was so frustrated that my shorts were tight, I hadn’t been eating any different and had been working out but nothing to be done at that moment while we were on vacation, I put a pin in it until we got home but had plans to figure out what the weight gain or bloating was all about.
